SUMMARY
Responsible for managing the relationship of their account base or any accounts assigned to them on a temporary or permanent basis. This includes selling dental supplies, office products as well as equipment to customers by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Compile list of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
Conduct cold calls to dental offices and create interest in DHPI on a daily basis.
As a new Inside Sales Representative 100 dial attempts are required per day
Conduct regular follow-up calls to offices where interest is created.
Provide price information, samples and other services per customer request.
Establish a regular and penetrative call schedule with existing clients.
Sell DHPI products and services.
Service client needs such as returns and credits.
Show increase in sales volumes and client base. Goals are established in regular reviews with the Sales Manager.
Provide accurate weekly sales reports as requested.
Required to maintain an average of three hours of telephone time per day until such time the monthly sales volume is in excess of $40,000.00 per month. At that time a minimum of three average hours per day is required.
Studies data describing new products to develop sales approach.
Compiles data on equipment and supplies preferred by customers.
Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares order forms for orders obtained.
Attend tradeshows upon the request of the Sales Director.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior telephone sales experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
